South African born, Brett Archibald, completed his studies at Natal University and UNISA, and completed 5 years of articles at Ernst and Young. He went on to become a director at RCI Southern Africa before moving to London as Managing Director for Group RCI EMEAI with 14 countries reporting in to him. His challenging global career that included the roles of Group Development Director for Wyndham Rental and Exchange in Hong Kong, as well as Group Development Director for Wyndham Rental and Exchange Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia based out of London, helped him emerge from the turbulent waters.
Hailed as the miracle surfing survivor, Brett is in fact a reputed Philanthropist who champions for numerous charities, in addition to having many diverse business interests. He has subsequently authored a book titled, Alone, which has been published in 7 countries and translated into 3 different languages. In it, he shares the innermost details of his harrowing experience that changed his life, and forms the perfect analogy for people trying to tread water in turbulent times and face the challenges of a constantly changing world. His focus and determination, together with those who saved him, inspires the work he does today.
