Known for her ethic and generosity, multi award nominated media personality, global emcee and keynote speaker, Liezel Van Der Westhuizen is one of South Africa’s most loved entertainers with a formidable career that spans over nearly two decades. Having been the​ second female in the world to​ host ​MNET’s renowned talent competition, ​IDOLS, Liezel continues to make her mark as a force to be reckoned with. In 2010, she established herself as a household name ​ when she joined the daily breakfast show, ​Expresso, as a Presenter and also made her acting debut in the movie "The Race-ist".

But aside from her work as an Entertainer, Liezel has participated in multiple national sporting competitions and continues to maintain an intense fitness regime. In 2012, she partnered with Canoeing SA’s High Performance coach, Greg van Heerden to finish the toughest canoe marathon ​ in the world, ​The Unlimited Dusi Canoe Marathon. Today, ​ Liezel hosts her weekly radio show, ​The Sunday Sundowners, on 94.5Kfm in Cape Town. She also dedicates ​ her time to a Cape Town-based NGO called ​Velokaya as an Ambassador for ​Glass Recycling South Africa that aims to educate learners about the environment using education-based recycling programmes. Amongst multiple other achievements that Liezel has obtained over the years, it is her radiant personality and uncompromising determination to impact lives that draws audiences in.
