Rachel Kolisi

Rachel Kolisi

Personality / Philanthropist
Born and bred in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape; Rachel Kolisi describes herself as a simple but competitive woman who holds down a household of 5 as a mother and wife of a professional athlete. With a strong passion for family and motherhood, Rachel has also developed a heart for helping youth and children from underprivileged backgrounds. In turn, this has sparked her goal to one day start a Kolisi Family Foundation. Through the power of social media and networking, the Marketing Executive turned full-time Mother, has been involved in various community projects, including one that was very near and dear to her heart.

“I LOVE TO BE INSPIRED, AND I LOVE TO INSPIRE OTHERS WHETHER IT BE FROM A STAGE, SOCIAL MEDIA OR IN PERSON”

Earlier this year, Rachel together with a group of volunteers and the help of public donations, managed to set-up a library at a school situated in Lotus River, Zeekoevlei Primary. She is currently working on a mission to supply school shoes/takkies to children who walk +/- 10 kilometers a day to and from school. Her passion for philanthropy has even sparked a mission to do a 900km bike ride from Kimberley to Cape Town to raise awareness about the rife realities of hunger in South Africa. Her love for health and fitness also inspired this initiative and hopes that positive change will come from it. There’s no denying that Rachel’s compassion towards giving back, coupled with the authentic way in which she shares her experiences about the realities of motherhood, has inspired many others on stage, social media, and in person.

Rachel’s primary missions in life is to do her best in raising a wonderful family, as well as support her husband throughout his career. With the Kolisi Family Foundation being her ultimate dream, she hopes the organisation will help many underprivileged children reach their full potential and inspire other humanitarian projects that will bring about transformation in our country.

“I’d like to see township schools equipped and afforded equal opportunities”
